I have not written about the local sports teams in awhile. Here is a mid year wrap up:

Red Sox: They won the world Series and I still do not care about them or their players. I wonder all the time, why people love them so much. What is the fascination.

Manny is an asshole, I cannot stand varitek, he reminds me of all those egocentric jocks I knew in high school. Way too controlling and who gives a flying fuck whether he” calls ” a good game. Hit the damn ball. Francona’s mouth is too small for his face. watch him he has a mouth that should be on a 5 year old. He peirces his lips and is always licking them. What is up with the rocking? he loooks like he should be in a straight jacket in a padded room. Wakefield, a 500 pitcher that everyone wants to roll into the hall of fame around here. Do you trust him in a big game? you better not. I have hated him for 15 years, since he would not give my kid an autograph. Is Mike Timlin still on the team? I think I saw him at my class reunion that old dried up piece of poop. Julio by the schoolyard Luogo. I love this guy. He cannot catch, cannot hit, he is another asshole, and he makes $10,000,000 a year. I love him, what balls it must take for him to look anybody in the eye. Theo is a cyber nerd. John henry should use some of his money and buy a meal for himself. The guy looks like he just won ” survivor” he looks like a refugee from some third world country.

I like Mike Lowell and all the young guys. I say they choke this year. Just a guess. I know you all love the red sox, but whatever, it is just an opinion, do not spit in my food.

Celtics:

Woo Hoo, we won. I love KG. he is the man that made it all happen. I like ray Allen too, but he is about done. Danny Ainge did a good job, but I think he just got a little lucky. he decided to blow it up, and it worked. good for him.They guy I think deserves all the credit is the owner Wyc Grocpek, he did what he had too and stayed away from the spotlight, and genuinely seems like a nice guy. I am real happy for him.He is not your typical megalomaniac asshole owner. Paul pierce is still an asshole, and always will be an asshole. he chokes under pressure. Thank God they stopped giving him the ball in the last two minutes. they got smart and finally won. if they kept giving the ball to Pierce in key situations, they would still be in the draft lottery. I like the bench, but can we get some white guys that can play? You have to have a couple of white guys so they do not get sued for discrimination or unfair labor practices, so get one that can play for Christs sakes. they will compete again next year.

Bruins:

Who gives a shit…. until they sell that team to anybody but that moron jacobs, no one will ever care, and they will never win.

Patriots:

To this day, I am not right. The world caved in on me on that February night in Arizona. If they only won and went 19-0 I would have never cared if they won again. But they did not and to this day and to my last day I am totally devastated.

if i was a 150% fan all my life, I am like 60% now. I really do not think it will ever be the same for me. I am serious. Do they have pills that will get you over this type of sports depression? The booze does not seem to be working, and I have been going deep. I think they will still do well for awhile. As long as they have Brady and Belicheck. I still hate Kraft. I hope he gets run over by a bus of buffalo Bills. What a cheap prick he is, all he cares about is him, his family and his money. He is a disingeuous jerk, that should not ever be believed.

I say they go 10-6 in 2008 and lose in the first round in San Diego

Two Words: Paul Pierce

The Drew Bledsoe of the NBA

He can play for 46 minutes. He actually is a good player. One of the best, but he is a choke. If you give him the ball in the last two minutes, he throws up bricks, or he just throws it away. The same could be said for the aforementioned greatest last minute choker of all time Drew Bledsoe.

Some people just gag under pressure. I know what you are saying,” he has some last minute heroics”. Sure, but you can file that under ” even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in awhile”

It is not a bad thing that he cannot swallow in crunch time. I myself am one of the worst golfers in the world on the last three holes.

Just do not give him the ball when it counts.

I love Kevin Garnett. he is one of my favorite players of all time.

I like Perkins and Rondo.

Ray Allen is done, toast over the hill, as is Cassell. I would still give the last shot to Ray Allen. He has that left in him.

Is it me, or is this coach ( Doc Rivers) a little over matched?

Anyway go celts! If I were the coach, I would sit the captain in crunch time. BUT coaches are stubborn * see terry francoma, don’t even get me started about Mike Timlin. That is another guy that needs to be home reading the monty minute instead of trying to get out 23 year olds in the 8th.

I never liked paul Pierce. I think he is a good player until the last few minutes of a game and then he always chokes. He is a human turnover when the game is on the line.

Now he has come out and shown his true colors.

He is apparently announcing that he is a member of a gang known for killing and violence. He is threatening the other team with his gestures. What a baby.

he needs to realize that he is an adult, and a father and a role model to kids and fans.

Do you honestly believe that Roger Clemens did not use steroids or a human Growth hormone? I don’t believe a word. 60 minutes was a setup.

His best friend said that he was doing it. He got it from Clemens trainer who said that they were both doing it. Clemens is hanging his hat on the fact that maybe no one saw it, so it never happened. He will be exposed soon.

I never liked him from the time I saw him tell a little kid at a charity golf tournament to get away from him. He was there to play golf and not to sign autographs. JERK!!! The guy’s head just kept getting bigger.

Ok I was wrong about Seattle, but pretty close on the Pats game. I have been stubborn about the Pack all year. I just cannot believe that Farve has been as bad as Drew Bledsoe for the last 4 years and now he looks great. fooled me.

Observations from section 114:

Brady and the Offense are AWESOME. They are precision like and fun to watch.

The Defense SUCKS. I am not shitting you. do not look at stats. Watch with your eyes. They could not stop my mother. how about a 3 and out. just one. This is why the other team  goes for it on fourth down when they do get a 3 and out, because they know they will make it. We make every QB in the league look like Tom Brady.. I would say it is one of the 5 worst defenses in the league, But I cannot think of the other 5.

Maybe Bill should spend more time this week in that side of the building.

Anaiysis: Seattle is on a roll and Green Bay IS Brett farve, and forgive me, but I think he is done. He will get anxious and try to be a one man show and throw that late pick as they are driving.

Patriots 31 Jacksonville 28

Analysis: how do these two teams pull off a victory?

Pats- just be the Pats and let Brady do his thing.

Jax’s- The Forrest gump offense, what? ” Run Forrrest run” run up the middle till you break the pats defense and wear down the old dudes in the middle. It might be 3 consecutive 3 and outs, but you have to keep up the pressure. Why do I say 28 points? because, when you wear them down you will force the Pats into bringing their safties down, and then all you have to do is heave it up to anyone that is guarded by Ellis Hobbs.

51 hours from now, we will line em up and find out what we have for the Jags. The closer it gets, the less nervous I get. I think the Pats are rested and ready. They typically have their shit together.
We still have 2 holes on offense and 2 on defense. I think Bill can scheme it up and overcome these glaring deficiencies. can you believe all the stuff you get out of Ellis Hobbs? He actually thinks he is a player. Sorry.
I would love to see the pats win it all for Jr. How great would that be. Everybody wants to go out on top, and i am not sure he would come back again if they lose. We will get his best effort.
We need a 4 star effort from both our lines. that should be the key to this game.
